It is with great sadness that I write today....my Aunt Mary lost her battle with cancer. The background on my blog has been changed to red--her favorite color--I guess my little way of a tribute to her. She was a wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandma and friend.....it is always hard to see someone leave but this is the first person to leave that was a fixture in my life from birth on.....in many, many years....it makes you realize mortality in a hard way! I can't imagine what her kids (my cousins) are feeling but please keep them in your prayers. It is a very hard time for my Mom--she was with her for 10 of the last 12 weeks....she went up to visit her and ended up staying to care for her. It was a bitter sweet time--she was there to see the sickness take over her body but the time and talks they had--well time is priceless...so I am so glad she had that time with her.

So now, aunt Mary you have taken the journey that none of us reading or writing this have....You are in no more pain and you won--you beat the cancer just not the way we wanted....your victory is a heavenly one. God bless!!!
