Life changes in an instant

Life changes in an instant...M's b-day party last year...riding the golf cart with Doug.....









I want to ask you guys to pray for a good friend of our family. His name is Doug and he is a father, grandfather, friend and man of God. I remember many years ago I was dating a boy that Doug knew--he asked me why I was dating him and told me that I could do much better. He said it in love and he was right--but I to this day--20 years later--still remember him caring enough to say something. Did I mention he was right? :-) He has 3 beautiful daughters and I know it was the father in him and the christian love that lead him to say something. He may not even remember the conversation but when I was dumped.....thinking I was heartbroken....I held to his words--I WAS better than that!

So why am I telling you this today? Doug has cancer--our God is a mighty God and I know he can heal Doug and I am believing with all that I am that God will heal Doug. His family is a strong presence at church and always serving somewhere. They are quite the example of God's love. His youngest daughter, Michelle, was Anna's first Cubby teacher.....and her daughter is one of Anna's good friends. The family is a strong one and they know and rely on God--not just in words but in action! Please lift them up--that all their needs will be met, that God will remove all the cancer from Doug's body and he will be back serving God at the church he loves with the people who love him. The girls give him and Mr. LeRoy 5 every Sunday....so hurry back Doug....they are saving their 5s for you!
