Refresh, renew and move on!

I think I do a pretty good job of updating my blog....this one more than the other one but it seems someone (and I will leave HER without a name--but she does not have a blog) thinks I am a bit of a slacker! :-) Well, apparently her comments worked--because here I am....instead of doing a thousand and one things I need to be doing.

I wanted to share a couple of notes from the last few Sunday school lessons.....if you haven't heard it lately...I love our class! Brad does an awesome job--sometimes I think he has been peeking in my head! :-) OK...on to some notes!

WHATEVER gets your attention--GETS you! Starve what you want to KILL--feed what you want to GROW! Replace those thoughts with other thoughts--start writing (a blog is a good idea) it changes your thoughts--what you dwell on---you become.....There are things you don't have control over....relationships are one of them. Don't dwell on what you don't have control over!

What you focus on you become.....that thing you DO NOT want to become--FORGET IT or it will become you!!! If someone treated you badly do not dwell on it or you will become that person....forget how they treated you or you will be that person!!! Again....what you focus on... you become......If you want to be more Christ like--do daily devotions, read your Bible, live life with those you want to be like, join a small group, go to a Sunday school class where you are fed and of course, it goes without saying GO to church! I have heard it said and even said it--going to church doesn't make you a christian--and no it doesn't.....but I can tell you being a Christian and going and being a christian and not going.....well, they are 2 totally different walks!!!!! You need to be in fellowship with other believers and it is a renewing of the mind, body and soul being with the body of Christ!!!

On a totally unrelated note....God knew what we were going to do BEFORE He created the WORLD!!!! (that is mind blowing--before we were even created....) What is even more mind blowing--He died for us....knowing all the mess ups we would do!
