I just read this email and below is an excerpt that I really liked!
When I pray, I say thee and thou and grant me this, give me that.
My kids say, "Hi God! Thanks for my toys and my friends. Please keep the bad dreams away tonight. Sorry, I don't want to go to Heaven yet. I would miss my Mommy and Daddy."
Now I don't say thee and thou but it is such a great reminder to talk to God like we do our friends! I am getting better and better about that.....the more I pray with my kids. And the more I listen to my sweet girls pray each night.....so I leave you with this from the same email:
I wonder if we are given kids to teach or to learn from? No wonder God loves the little children!
Enjoy the little things in life, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

We are for sure given kids for many reasons...I firmly believe they bless our lives far more than we could ever bless theirs. We are here to teach them, raise them up knowing the Lord, and so on...but as your post said...we also learn so much from them. Did you ever think you would learn from yours? I never thought about that at all. I learn something every day though! They are the most precious gifts ever!
