Anna & her pyramidSo Lauren read her first word today--cat...yup cat...no picture...just three words on the page and she pointed to it and said cat....Anna was so excited for her...we had not even worked on it...so maybe she will be an early reader too. Who knows? What I do know is she is a joy--they both are--and I love that I get to spend every day teaching them and watching them learn. We read a lot and they have started acting out the books it is to cute to watch.
We also do crafts that reflect what we are learning about. We just made pyramids....and I will post pictures. :) Anna has gotten very creative in her building designs--keeping in mind that she is 5 and I am --well not 5--I would never think to make what she makes or to the extent she makes them. She built a theater--movie screen and curtains--then set up the Barbies for the show. (with popcorn designed by Anna) She built a stage--covered it and made a runway for her ponies--designed a light fixture and how to hang it. Future engineer or architect? Who knows but again--I love that I am part of the daily adventures they take and love learning with them!

Cute pics...creativity is so much fun isn't it? We have a lot of fun doing that here as well...and my girls always amaze me as well. They are so eager to learn and try new things. It is wonderful. The girls are beautiful as always! Loved the pics!
