Wow! It has been almost a month! Life is always busy but now we have added coupons into our world...wow!!! It IS a part time job but I love the challenge it brings! Anna loves to help with the coupon cutting so that is a great help!!! Anyway, yes...it is 1:00 in the morning BUT we can't go to church for the next 2 weeks. Anna's scope is coming up and last time we were down to the wire praying she would clear up....we weren't even sure they would scope going up. So we have decided one week is not enough...we need to reduce her exposure 2 weeks prior.....so yep....we miss Easter! Maybe we will have our own little sunrise service in the back yard! Anna said she is so sad not to be able to go.....me to....how can you not go when you are perfectly able? There is nothing like being in God's house on Sunday morning....I just love my SS class....oooohhhh and how I miss hearing the praise music!
Speaking of music.....My Anna brought it today!!! She sang karaoke (Best of Both Worlds and another HM song) at the Easter festival at Daddy's work....she did a great job! Of course, I would say that but everyone was very impressed with her! I am so hoping the children's choir gets started again....I love to here her worship God with her sweet little voice! Lauren did it too....she sang "Fabulous"...she was too cute...a bit shy but she sang it out! Oh my girls...love them....so proud of them!!!! They wanted to sing even more...didn't care that there was a crowd....they loved it!
Our school year is drawing to a close...it has been a great one! Anna reads anything and everything she can get her hands on....I am not kidding....she is reading the book What Your 1st Grader Needs To Know! How funny is that!!! She decided 4 days ago--when she found it in my stack--that she needed to finish it before she finishes 1st grade. She has read Language Arts, Geography, World Civilization, and American Civilization, Fine Arts and has started in the math section! A little light reading....she is my girl...I would rather read than watch TV or any movie! Love books and where they take you! The written word is so much better for your mind than the TV or computer..... We went to see the King Tut exhibit--no pics allowed in the exhibit--it was amazing! We have studied The Ancients this year so it was fun for Anna to recognize the names: Tut, Amenhotep, Hatshepsut. She has enjoyed her friendships with Emma, Addie, Maclaine and Talya (others too...these are just the HS friends we see more often!)...and I have enjoyed watching them grow and change.....She has told me what she wants to be when she grows up (but it is a secret and I am not allowed to tell...so for now it remains a secret....until she says other wise!) :-)
Lauren has enjoyed school too! She knows how to write her upper and lower letters and their sounds, does some basic adding, all her colors, and shapes and is close to being able to count to 100....you know when they figure out 20, 30, 40....she is a smarty pants like her big sister! I am still deciding if we will start K this year.....If she were in public school, my decision would be made for me but I will wait and see how she seems later! She loves school and begs daily for her school too!!! I hope and pray they continue down this path! I always loved school...so here is hoping! :) She keeps us laughing and wondering waht is next....never know with her! She loves telling secrets and telling me to "keep it in your heart of gold!"
Thomas is busy, busy, busy with work! We still get a lot of time with him with his work schedule. He and the girls spent the day together Thursday--(I judged at a Speech and Debate Tourney....incredible as to be expected!) They went to lunch, saw a movie, went to a local home supply store looking for some things for some of our projects and by his friend's house! A full and fun day with Daddy!
Then, me....I am reading the Bible through this year....Today was Day 94....I am proud to say I haven't missed a day in God's word and have learned so much....Genesis-Judges (reading it now) plus Job.....I had NO idea all the stuff that was in here!!! Don't believe me...check it out...you will be shocked!!!! I am really enjoying this reading time and my time with God. My girls keep me busy...I am excited to be going to a home school book sale with 2 friends--overnight--that is all I am good for...I don't like being away from my girls.....there will be plenty of time for that when they are grown...which--by the way--will be way sooner than I care for!
All right....I think I am tired and rambling a bit...so I am off to bed! I will leave you with a word God gave me a few weeks ago...."When you are the wife you are supposed to be, he will be the husband I intended him to be!" That is why you get in the word....you open yourself up to hearing him....I can tell you those are not my words....thought I was perfect--what...I am not?!?! Guess not...that is what God tells me...so I guess I need some work! Well....now that I have put together the most random post...I am really going to bed!
